What’s Your Name?
Just because you’ve known someone for a long time, doesn’t necessarily mean they know you well. In some cases, these people you think you’re close with even end up forgetting your name. “Groom here. The preacher performing the wedding was my wife’s uncle. They know each other well – she even lived at his house in college for a while. He used the wrong name for her in the wedding vows. I just stood there, not knowing what to do. I wanted to marry the right girl, so I wasn’t going to say the wrong name. Then he did it again. Folks were rolling in the aisles.”
