Ring Ring
Just like other events, weddings are supposed to be solemn. Guests are encouraged to be quiet and at their best behavior, and that includes turning their noisy phones off to avoid disturbing the ceremony. “At my sister’s wedding, the pastor from her husband’s side didn’t turn up, so the priest officiated the whole service. Someone’s phone went off during the service and we all had a good chuckle. The priest didn’t look so impressed and sort of glared at the congregation for their lack of respect. During his speech about turning our phones off, he realized it was his phone that had been ringing. We had a great laugh at that one.”
