I Object
During wedding ceremonies, the priest or the minister usually asks the guests if anyone would object to the union of the couple. Most of the time, the wedding pushes through without any protests, but then there are rare occasions when someone simply couldn’t hold their silence. “At my wife’s cousin’s wedding, one of the bridesmaids feigned having a fainting spell during the ceremony because she disapproved of the woman her brother was marrying. She later got drunk, and at the end of the reception, she stumbled into the desert table and pulled a chocolate fountain on top of herself.”
