Strange Behavior
Bobby acted strangely once he returned from his trip. He seemed jittery, and Cheryl couldn’t understand what was bothering him. She wanted to be there for him, but she didn’t want to make him feel like she was interrogating him.
The idea of him having been abused occupied her mind, and she often wondered whether he had been a victim of some kind in his past. In no way could she have imagined that she would soon be rudely introduced to the man who was supposed to be her husband.
