Not Like Hollywood
Women in Native American tribes were a far cry from their portrayal in most Hollywood films of the time. It was common for women to maintain the home, but it went far beyond cleaning. They were expert homebuilders and were tasked with the important duty of keeping the home’s roof intact. They also gathered firewood, and repaired clothing and shoes.
