Following Protocol
The animal handling procedures were reviewed by the truck’s passengers. Doing so increased the odds that everyone, human and animal alike, would make it through unscathed. At this point, all they knew was that there were a lot of creatures and that things weren’t looking good for them. Since the lady could no longer make out the animals, it seemed likely that they were trapped. As soon as the vehicle pulled up, the whole squad sprang out.
