The group looked at every potential outcome. They prayed the mother hadn’t abandoned her young here, but it was a possibility. Also, they prayed the mother was well and hadn’t met an untimely end on the neighboring road. The group speculated that possibly the mother had been scared away by all the commotion, and that she would return later. Whatever had occurred, these infants need immediate medical attention.
