Were they untamed or tamed?
Even though the crew was relieved to have the creatures recognized, they still found the situation peculiar. No tamed dog mom ever gives birth to her litter in the bowels of a city. This is hardly a cozy, warm area for a dog to hang out in, even if she is a stray. But how did they get here, and where was their mother? When compared to other wild animals, even wild dogs were a little more sociable. She must be nearby, right?
