Being Examined
The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, the local animal hospital, took in all of the pups. There, the pups were bathed, treated for fleas, and examined by veterinarians to guarantee that they were healthy and well-cared for. The firemen then left the scene and returned to the station, thinking their involvement was done. They clearly have no further use in this situation. They didn’t know it at the time, but there was a surprising turn in the plot here.
