Animal Companions
Firefighters have likely been called to incidents involving animals hundreds of times. The animal may have fallen into a burning building or been stranded in a tree. Helping animals out of dangerous circumstances is a common task for firemen, and they often have the equipment to do it. Firefighters may also step in to save animals that strangers are unwilling to approach. Firefighters have rescued many different species of animals.
