These foxes were lucky in that they were still very young. If they were older, they could have picked up bad habits that would need retraining. Instead, they were eager to take in as much information as they could to prepare themselves for life in the wild. The trainers were confident in their abilities since they had zero expectations for the students entering the course. The firemen were relieved to hear this.
