A Truce
With Jeremy’s yard looking cleaner and the children no longer causing trouble, a tentative truce settled between Jeremy and his neighbors. They didn’t become best friends, but at least they were now on speaking terms and showed a newfound respect for each other’s boundaries.
Jeremy knew that he had gone to great lengths to make his point, and he hoped it would be a lesson they wouldn’t soon forget.
