Overheating
After 10 minutes of being switched off, the crank was still boiling. The conductor and brakeman decided to phone Hamilton to order a replacement engine. It would not be safe for them to start the train again. The second brakeman (unnamed) was sent to the phone in the request.
As the second brakeman was walking back to the train, he noticed another train, the Maple Leaf Flye, fast approaching from the east track.
