She was perplexed when she received the message on her phone. Was it some sort of cruel joke? She studied it over and over, but there didn’t appear to be any room for dispute.
Jake had accidentally sent her that message. Someone else was supposed to get it. It wasn’t supposed to be seen by her, but she did. And it shifted her entire view on the individual with whom she had been interacting.
