There was a pet shelter right next to their car. There were plenty of puppies and kittens inside and Mikaela wanted nothing more than to play with them. Dex wondered if they were supposed to go to the hospital, or if they were supposed to go into the shelter. Lindsey had previously spoken about rescuing a dog.
His phone rang, and when he picked it up, it was their doctor. He informed him that they would have to reschedule their appointment. Dex took it as a sign from above and decided to pull his car into a parking spot. They all made their way into the pet store.
