Crystal had an aunt named Suzyn that she adored. Suzyn was a free spirit and she and Crystal seemed to understand each other. Suzyn had considered adopting Crystal but ultimately decided Crystal would be better off with her current foster parents. So Crystal went to her aunt to fill her in on everything that had been going on.
