Abby froze. Should she go inside anyway, or should she run back inside and hope her mother wouldn’t say a thing? She knew her mother couldn’t keep a secret, and definitely not if she didn’t even know it was a secret. So, she decided to go inside anyway. There she could hide from her father and just hope for the best.
