They were looking for her
“She’s not here!” Abby’s father suddenly yelled.
“She’s not? Where could she be?!” Abby’s mother yelled back from inside the house. That’s when Abby realized they were both looking for her. And judging by the sound of her mother’s frantic voice, they were very worried. She decided to wait it out and quickly go to her room when they weren’t watching.
