Ties that wound
The revelations of the morning bore heavily upon us. The idea that one of our own could harbor such malice was a wound deeper than any physical harm inflicted. Yet, as we processed the shock, there was also a stirring of compassion, a desire to understand and perhaps heal the schisms that had remained unseen. Our familial ties had been tested and frayed, but we found within ourselves a resolve to mend what had been torn, to address the rifts and heal as a family.
