What’s Wrong?
Nikki took a deep breath and said, “Mom, there’s something I need to tell you.” Linda braced herself for what was to come. “Nikki, what is it? Is the baby okay?” Linda asked, her voice trembling.
Nikki nodded, but she looked even worse than she did before.
What she was about to say would crush Linda.
