A Dog
Tom slowed down as he noticed something quite strange. There was a dog sitting by the roadside. There was no owner in sight, yet the dog had a blue-collar on his neck. Something wasn’t right.
Tom parked his truck by the roadside and walked to the dog, calling him. But although the dog jumped to its feet, alert and barking, it didn’t go to him. Tom’s brows furrowed, but then he had an idea.
Tom slowed down and put his car into park. He slowly approached the dog and started calling it. The dog seemed perceptive enough to look at him and playfully bark. But it wouldn’t follow him back to his car.
