Finally, Maria was able to restore the girl’s hair to its previous state and also gave her a complimentary makeover. Now that she had regained her confidence, she was the highlight of the photo session. She and the girl grew close after hearing Maria’s tale. After Maria spoke with her boss, they agreed to let her work as an apprentice stylist at the salon after school. She had already experienced loss in life; however, her makeover resulted in new hair and a renewed determination to turn her life around.
