In an annoyed tone, she said, “Sorry, but you can’t wear a hat inside.” Her words shocked him. My apologies, but I must wear it. It was my sons…” But she cut him off before he could finish explaining, “It doesn’t matter whose it was, that is our policy.”
Pat stood his ground, “I’m not taking it off.” He said sternly. As she stormed off, the woman scoffed.
His mistake was thinking that was the end of it.
