Muddy Footprints
The hallway was empty, but he saw muddy footprints covering his floor. They looked to be from a barefooted man, which confused David. Why would someone walk around without shoes on? But he didn’t dwell on that thought for long, as he suddenly heard loud noises coming from his kitchen.
