Walking on Eggshells
Dan came to a halt and raised his gaze. “Huh?” he asked. Kalou chimed in, “Be careful where you’re stepping. You nearly squashed that nest.” He gestured towards the ground. Dan swiftly retreated a few paces. He had come perilously close to crushing some delicate eggs! Curiosity piqued, he fetched his camera and approached for a closer inspection. However, Kalou’s voice rang out once more.
