Before He Could Go
Though he was soon to retire, he still had more work to do than he had time for. In order to make a beer trade, he had to deal with piles of paperwork and a lot of phone calls.
The deadlines were so tight that he had to work really hard to meet them. It was a routine that he had become accustomed to in the 29 years he’d worked there, but that did not make it any easier.
