A Fateful Flight
In July of 1999, JFK Jr. piloted a small airplane called a Saratoga Piper. Also aboard the aircraft were JFK Jr.’s wife Carolyn and his sister-in-law Lauren. Lauren was scheduled to be dropped off at Martha’s Vineyard Airport, while JFK Jr. and his wife planned to proceed to Cape Cod to attend his cousin’s wedding.
