A Tragic Plane Crash
JFK Jr. took off from the Essex County Airport in New Jersey on the evening of July 16, 1999. He was en route to Martha’s Vineyard. About one hour after take-off, Kennedy’s plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean. About 20 minutes after the accident, an intern notified the Federal Aviation Administration that JFK Jr.’s plan never landed.
