Bodies Found
Near the plane’s fuselage, three bodies were discovered. JFK Jr.’s wife and sister-in-law were found first. Then officials found JFK Jr.’s body, still strapped to the pilot’s seat. Autopsies would later confirm that all three had died immediately upon impact. Reports of the deaths devastated the Kennedy family and soon became worldwide news.
