Reasons for the Crash
Following the crash, investigators tried to determine exactly what had caused the tragic accident. One of the leading theories was that conditions were too hazy for JFK Jr. to properly pilot the aircraft. One other pilot departing from the same airport as Kennedy canceled his flight due to bad weather conditions.
