A Sad Story
Smiling somberly, he told Miles of the five-year ordeal before the police finally closed his mom’s case. They had found her body among the wild plant life. Most tragic of all was the fact that her body was only about six months old, while she had been missing for five years.
Law enforcement hypothesized that she likely managed to keep herself alive for four and a half years, trying to find her way home, but died due to a lack of food or water or at the hands of nature. But just like the case of Miles’s mom, none of the events seemed logical.
