The Teacher Plays Along
This one is a bit of a reversal of the narrative, with a teacher making a comeback for a student, but we felt it was too funny not to include.
“This happened in history class in middle school: a student said, “Hey Mr. C, how do you spell this word?” “D-I-C-T-I-O-N-A-R-Y,” Mr. C says. She scribbles it down, considers why it doesn’t look right for a time, and becomes irritated with the teacher. The teacher bursts out in laughter with the class.”
