Swedish Stewardess Examines a Showgirl’s Costume After Rumors of Shorter Skirts for Air Hostesses
This photo was taken in 1959 for Scandinavia’s SAS airlines and shows flight attendant Birgitta Lindman inspecting the shorter skirt of a showgirl. Lindman had previously landed on the cover of LIFE magazine and was selected to help decide the skirt size of new uniforms for stewardesses.
