It turned out that the dog had ticks and fleas, damaged teeth, no microchip, an atrophied leg, and infected paws. As the vet disclosed this information to the Jonekins, both their hearts broke. So they knew what they needed to do. This dog, now called Suzy who was between 7 and 9 years old, would soon become their brand new family member!
