It wasn’t long before José found himself on the streets. All the work he was doing, like parking cars, only gave him enough money for day-to-day needs like food, but never enough for a roof over his head. He even found a job as a fixture at the Plaza España, where he continued to park cars, but it wasn’t enough.
Workers and business owners in the plaza came to love him, befriending him and even giving him the name ‘Josete.’ But one day, a man would come along who would take everything a step further.
