Determination
Philani, like many other young adults, was caught in a vicious circle where a lack of opportunities to pursue his education made it more difficult to find work anyplace. Philani, on the other hand, was committed to avoiding becoming a stereotype.
As soon as Philani knew he would have to travel to have a better chance of success, he relocated. The location he chose was regarded as a “promised land.”
