City Of Gold
Johannesburg was approximately 360 miles from his childhood home. Thus, he needed to leave his family in order to pursue his dreams. Johannesburg was the city of opportunities. The city was formed only after the discovery of gold in the 1800s.
Since then, it has been known as “Egoli,” which means “golden city” in Zulu. Philani was about to find out why the adage goes, “everything that glitters is not gold,” much like the numerous fortune seekers around the world who pursued wealth to their doom.
