The doctor immediately got Jolene ready for an ultrasound when she got to the hospital. She was growing used to this routine, but this time would be different. The doctor looked at the monitor as he examined her, and suddenly the expression on his face changed. He looked confused and then upset as he told Jolene in a voice just above a whisper, “I have to call the police.”
