They Didn’t Know What They Were Walking Into
In an interview with the Washington Post, Sergeant Danny DiPietro, a spokesperson for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said, “One hundred percent, they had their guns out and the dogs out. If we tell you we’re the police and you’re not responding and not coming out, we don’t know what we’re walking into. We don’t know if they’re armed or if they’re going to attack us.” But they had no idea what they’d end up coming face to face with on the other side of the door.
