The robbery began with the kidnapping of a bank guard’s family. They also strapped explosives on his body in case this failed to kill him. He allowed them inside the bank, where they promptly stole around $21 million. Despite their inside woman’s betrayal, only around a tenth of the stolen funds have been returned.
