Mary was feeling helpless and crying about her horse Stardust not listening to her. James was kind and supportive, encouraging her to keep trying and not give up. He believed Stardust had unique talents and Mary had what it took to be an excellent rider. She felt hopeful and determined, and the next morning she went to the barn to keep trying to make the new horse treat her normally.
