Everything She Wanted
Cheryl Connor was a 40-year-old woman, and she was proud of her accomplishments at this point in her life. She had everything she ever dreamt of; a successful career as a university professor, a handsome and loving husband, and two, smart, amazing stepdaughters.
She work so hard to live this life, but she always believed that luck was on her side through it all. She felt like she had been blessed with the things that made her more fortunate than most others around her. But she was wrong.
