A Sea of Flamingos
This massive flock of flamingos is gathered at Lake Logipi in Kenya’s Suguta Valley. Flamingos love the salt water’s abundant supply of plankton, which they feast upon in mass quantities. In fact, it’s the flamingo’s hunger that gives it its pink coloring. When flamingos eat brine shrimp and algae, the bird’s body digests pigments that turns its feathers pink.
