Assisi Over the Clouds
Perhaps it’s no mistake that this Italian town with religious significance appears to be in some heavenly location above the clouds. Assisi is located in Italy’s Umbria region, and is best known for being the birthplace of St. Francis. St. Francis of Assisi is one of the most venerated figures in Christianity. He founded the Franciscans, and believed that there was deep spiritual significance to be found in nature.
