Whale Mom and Calf
Humpback whales are incredible, massive creatures. But even so, a baby animal is always adorable even if it weighs a literal ton. This tender moment between a mom and her calf occurred in Kona, Hawaii. Humpbacks travel great distances, and female humpbacks in particular are remarkably well-traveled. They’re also responsible for raising their calfs, as male humpbacks typically have little to do with their offspring.
