This is another photo that looks like it’s either Photoshopped or from some distant planet, but the colorful waters here in Spain’s Rio Tinto are very real. They are the result of thousands of years of ore mining, which caused acid mine drainage. The chemicals have produced the psychedelic designs you see here, but have also created much environmental damage.
