At Work
Jacob set the paper aside and drove to work. He wondered what might’ve caused the police to pull him over throughout the day. He didn’t have any outstanding tickets and rarely broke traffic rules.
As the day came to a close, Jacob reached for the paper again. This time, he was able to read through it slowly. If his brows had furrowed earlier, now they knitted with rage.
