Johan didn’t just want to build a cheap replica so hired carpenters to make it as authentic and close to the biblical version as possible. The carpenters were amateurs so it’s far from perfect but Johan is more than happy.
The entire vessel is made from different types of wood and a steel frame. It was more impressive that he was able to complete under similar pressure as Noah seeing as everyone doubted him. The most impressive feat was, however, something else.
