He Got Ready to See Her
Thomas got ready for the confrontation with his wife that was inevitable when he returned home. He hadn’t seen Iris in a few weeks and in that time, they had barely spoken to each other over the phone. The traveling process was usually long and grueling for Thomas, but his flight seemed to fly by in an instant because he was busy anticipating how Iris would react when he returned. And when he stepped foot in his home, his wife was silent, like she was awaiting a terrible blow. They both had some information to get off of their chests that would change how their partner viewed them.
