He Heard Something
He paused in his steps to investigate the sound. He placed the dresser on the floor and checked the drawers once again. Still, there was nothing. He continued examining all the sides of the dresser to make sure he hadn’t missed anything.
Then he found the unexpected: it had a secret compartment at the base of the dresser. It seemed specifically designed to hide something inside. His heart raced as he opened it.
